Tag-a-friend rule, done right
Require a minimum number of different @mentions. Tagging the same friend twice counts once, and mentions are pooled across a person’s comments.
One entry per person (or not)
Default is one entry per person so spammy commenters don’t stack the odds. Flip it if your rules say every comment counts.
Keyword, hashtag or emoji
Only count comments that include #yourtag, a word, a phrase or an emoji — any of several, case-insensitive.
Winners must follow
Add the host account(s). Drawn winners are checked; if someone provably doesn’t follow, they’re skipped and listed. Private accounts are never rejected on guesses.
Alternates & redraws
Pick backups in the same draw. If a winner ghosts you, move to the next alternate — it’s already on the proof page.
Public proof page + card
Every draw gets a shareable page with winners, rules, counts, seed and hash — plus a winner card image for your Story.
Provably fair
“Trust me” isn’t proof. A seed and a hash are.
Screen recordings can be re-recorded until the “right” name comes up. Pickfetti publishes the random seed and a hash of the eligible entry list for every draw. Anyone can re-run the shuffle and get the same winners — or hit the verify link and let us do it in front of them.

Why not just use…
Most pickers make you log in, or make you guess.
Official-API tools need a Business or Creator account linked to a Facebook Page and a pile of permissions. Free scrapers stop at 100–250 comments and can’t enforce tag rules. Pickfetti reads public posts with no login, enforces the rules you actually wrote, and proves the result.

Questions, answered
Is Pickfetti really free?
Yes. Any public Instagram post or reel with up to 500 comments is completely free — unlimited draws, no account, no card. Bigger posts use a one-time Draw Pass (from $499) or the Pro plan.
Do I need to log in with Instagram or give you my password?
No. You paste the link to a public post and we read the public comments — the same ones anyone can see logged out. We never ask for your Instagram login, password, or account permissions.
How is the winner chosen?
A fresh cryptographically secure seed is generated for each draw and used to shuffle the eligible entries with a deterministic Fisher–Yates shuffle. The seed and a hash of the entry list are published on the proof page so anyone can re-run the draw and confirm the result.
Can it handle “tag 2 friends” and “must follow” rules?
Yes. Set a minimum number of different @mentions, require a keyword or hashtag, count each person once, ignore replies, exclude accounts, and verify that drawn winners follow the host account(s). Winners who provably don’t follow are skipped and shown transparently.
Does it work with Reels and carousels?
Yes — posts, carousels and Reels all work. Stories don’t (they have no public comments).
Why is the comment count lower than what Instagram shows?
Instagram’s number includes deleted, hidden and spam-filtered comments that no tool can read. Pickfetti shows both numbers so you can see the gap — it doesn’t affect fairness among the comments that exist.
