How it compares with other free comment pickers
Most “free” pickers limit you to one draw a day, a few hundred comments, or a screen recording as proof. Here is where Pickfetti sits.
| What matters | Typical free picker | Pickfetti |
|---|---|---|
| Free draws | One a day | Unlimited with a free account |
| Free comment limit | 100–300, or a “sample” of the thread | Up to 500, the whole thread |
| Reply threads | Often top-level only | Read in full |
| Proof of fairness | Screen-record it yourself | Public page with seed + entry hash anyone can re-run |
| Alternates | Sometimes | Up to 3 free, drawn in order |
| Follow check | Rare | Drawn winners are checked; private accounts never rejected |
| Login | None, or a Meta login | None |

Instagram comment picker FAQ
Is this Instagram comment picker free?
Yes. Any public Instagram post, carousel or Reel with up to 500 comments is free, with all rules, up to 5 winners and 3 alternates, the proof page, the winner card and the CSV. Your first draw needs no account; a free account (no card) removes the one-draw guest limit, so there is no daily cap. Posts over 500 comments use a one-time Draw Pass from $4.99.
Do I need to log in with Instagram?
No. Paste the link to a public post or Reel. Pickfetti reads the public comments the way a logged-out visitor sees them. It never asks for your Instagram username, password or permissions, and it never posts on your account.
How is the winner picked, and can my followers check it?
A fresh cryptographically secure seed is generated for every draw and used in a Fisher–Yates shuffle of the eligible entries. The seed, the rules and a hash of the full entry list are published on the proof page, and anyone can re-run the draw from them and get the same winner. A screen recording cannot be checked that way; this can.
Does it read replies, and why is the count lower than Instagram shows?
Replies are read in full, so a friend tagged in a reply still counts. Instagram’s displayed number also includes deleted, hidden, restricted and spam-filtered comments that no tool can read. Pickfetti shows both numbers so the gap is visible instead of hidden.
Does it work with Reels, carousels and other people’s posts?
Yes to all three. Any public post, carousel or Reel works, including posts you do not own, as long as the account is public. Stories do not have public comments, so they cannot be read.
Can it check likes, saves or Story shares?
No tool can: Instagram does not expose who liked, saved or shared a post. You can still ask for them in your caption. People who shared to their Story and tagged you can be added as bonus entries, which are disclosed on the proof page so the draw stays verifiable.
