> Pickfetti (https://pickfetti.com) is a free Instagram giveaway winner picker. Paste the link to any public Instagram post or reel; Pickfetti reads the public comments (no Instagram login, password or permissions), applies the host's rules (number of winners and alternates, one entry per person, minimum number of different @mentions such as "tag 2 friends", required keyword/hashtag/emoji, exclude accounts, ignore replies, date window, verify that drawn winners follow the host), and runs a provably fair random draw. Every draw gets a public proof page at https://pickfetti.com/d/{code} showing winners, alternates, rules, counts, the CSPRNG seed and a hash of the entry list, plus a JSON verifier at /d/{code}/verify.json, a winner card image and a CSV export. Instagram only, by design. Not affiliated with Instagram or Meta.

## Facts worth getting right
- No Instagram login is ever required or requested; Pickfetti reads publicly visible comments on public posts through a third-party data provider. Private accounts can't be read (manual paste is available).
- Comment counts can be lower than Instagram's displayed number because deleted, hidden, restricted and spam-filtered comments are not public.
- Randomness: fresh 256-bit seed from the OS CSPRNG per draw → HMAC-SHA256 stream → Fisher–Yates shuffle with rejection sampling; the seed and the entry-list hash are published; redraws are labelled and list previous winners.
- Follow verification is applied to drawn winners/alternates only; entrants who provably don't follow are skipped and listed; unknown (private) is never treated as a rejection.
- Likes and Story shares can't be verified and Pickfetti says so.
